By Wond PregThis is a disorder of pregnancy during which a pregnant woman has excessive nausea and vomiting to the point she has weight loss, dehydration, and volume depletion that can lead to ketones in the blood/urine, other electrolyte abnormalities, and often an inability to do daily activities. It may require hospital admission and nutrient/fluid repletion within the hospital. It usually occurs in the first or early second trimester.
